Guided by NGA USA’s mission statement, “To provide a positive and healthy competitive program for gymnastics” NGA UK is bringing a fun and accessible approach to the UK. Our vision prioritises the well-being and development of young athletes over competition alone, creating a positive, enriching experience at every level.
We aim to build a national competition structure with progressive levels that offer smoother pathways for gymnasts at every stage of their journey. By reintroducing the 10.0 judging system, we’re simplifying scoring, making it easier for athletes and parents to track progress and understand goals—keeping the focus on growth, enjoyment, and achievement.
Our progressive approach empowers athletes to advance at their own pace, encouraging longer-term engagement and offering more opportunities for growth, recognition, and enjoyment. With a global reach already established in several countries, NGA UK allows gymnasts to experience international competition without altering their routines or competitive structures, fostering development and exposure on a broader stage.
Through this inclusive and globally connected system, we are dedicated to empowering gymnasts to achieve personal success and fully enjoy their journey in the sport, wherever it may lead.
The Start
A group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision to create a nationally recognised competition structure for UK gymnastics clubs. Their goal was to establish a seamless pathway where gymnasts at all levels could compete, both nationally and internationally. These efforts laid the foundation for NGA UK.
Free Educational Events
To further our mission, NGA UK is also offering free educational events for judges, coaches, and club managers, providing essential training to understand and implement the NGA system effectively.
The First Invitationals
In 2025, NGA UK will officially launch its first series of competitive events, including invitational competitions, a national final and some training camps. These events will provide gymnasts from across the country the opportunity to compete within the new national structure. To qualify for the prestigious National Finals, gymnasts must participate in at least two invitational events throughout the season.
Introduction of Regional Events
In 2026, NGA UK aims to build on the success of the previous year by empowering clubs to host their own invitational events, creating even more opportunities for gymnasts to compete and grow within the national structure. Alongside this, we hope to introduce Regional Finals, offering gymnasts an additional layer of competition on their journey to the National Finals.
